TES General Manager
Brief Description

Tangentyere Council offers generous salary sacrifice arrangements

The General Manager is responsible for providing strategic leadership and management to the Tangentyere Employment Division to strengthen service delivery, develop and maintain business to achieve sustainable employment & training outcomes for job seekers in conjunction with revenue, business growth and performance objectives.

The successful incumbent will actively promote Tangentyere Employment Services and be responsible for strategic planning, leadership, resource management and achieving performance and financial targets.   

Applicants must have demonstrated leadership & management skills, a demonstrated commitment to social outcomes, and commercial acumen. Knowledge of employment services, CDEP, and the training sector would be highly regarded.

A fully maintained fleet vehicle is included in the position. Base Salary $95,901

Mentor; Indigenous Youth and Residential Worker Trainer
Brief Description

Tangentyere Council is seeking a mentor for a 12-month Indigenous youth and residential worker training program. The mentor will work with the youth & residential workers trainer to support trainees through short training courses and work experience placements.

The successful applicant will have knowledge and understanding relating to relevant training for youth and residential workers. They will also have a demonstrated record of successfully working with Indigenous communities and different groups within the community. Level 3 ($42,817)

Senior Family Worker
Brief Description

The Safe Families Program is a unique and exciting program which aims to strengthen Aboriginal families in the local Alice Springs community. The primary focus is working with young people of 7-14 years and their families.  The Senior Family Case Worker is responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, case management and targeted intervention to families and young people in collaboration with other local key stakeholders.

We are looking for an incumbent with case management experience, strong analytical, communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills with an ability to work in a team environment.  Level 5-6 ($53,454 - $64,581)

Coordinator Aboriginal Education Project
Brief Description

Tangentyere Council is seeking an experienced  Coordinator to run an exciting community driven Parental and Community Engagement project. The program focus is to improve parental engagement with schools and education providers thereby increasing educational outcomes for Aboriginal students.

The successful applicant will have proven experience in program development, coordination and a demonstrated ability to communicate and engage with Aboriginal people. Level 7 ($66,168 - $76,898)

Child and Parent Support Worker
Brief Description

The Ketye Program provides support to Indigenous children aged 0-7 years and their families who reside within or have ties to a town Camp in Alice Springs. The incumbent will ensure children grow up in a physicall, emotionally and spiritually safe family environment and assist families in accessing early childhood development services including health, welfare and education. Qualifications appropriate to he position and/or extensive relevant experience will be a distinct advantage. Salary Level 4-5 ($44,444 - $56,043)

Divisional Manager Family & Youth Services
Brief Description

The Family & Youth Services Manager is an integral member of the Tangentyere Leadership group, responsible for providing strong leadership and management of early childhood, youth & family programs and related services. The successful applicant will work closely with the Council’s Directorate office and other Senior Managers responsible for ensuring efficient and effective service delivery, high standards of management practice, robust systems and open and professional organisational culture.

Applicants must have extensive management and leadership experience in the delivery of social service programs, desirably child protection. Salary Level 8 (Base Salary $85,599)

Male Case Worker-Hidden Valley
Brief Description

The Hidden Valley Men’s Case Worker provides case management and group work with men within and related to the Hidden Valley Town Camp.  The incumbent will also consult with community members and other services to plan and provide relevant and accessible community development programs and case management with the aim to improve access to information, services and provide advocacy and mentoring for men in the community.
